Three Norwegian designers will present their design ‘Bugge’ at Kids.Modern, an innovative show that brings together new imaginative furniture, fashion and collectables for children.
Presented by the curators of London’s Midcentury.Modern show, Kids.Modern is an innovative design show for children, and is about fun, thought-provoking design, which adults love and kids remember for life. This year is the first international Kids.Modern show. Conceived five years ago, Midcentury.Modern is a one stop-shop for mid-century design classics and modern design, which attracts design aficionados from all over Britain.
The Norwegian designers Caroline Harstad, Ingse Galtung Døsvig and Katrine Vestøl will present their design ‘Bugge’ at the show. ‘Bugge’ is a modular furniture system for children, developed both for institutions and private homes. Main keywords are flexibility, creativity and stability versus movement. Different elements with different shapes and uses come together in an easy readable and stackable structure. ‘Bugge’ challenges the children’s creativity, imagination and interaction, and brings play to another level. Every element has its own shape and function, and gives children a huge selection of use. The product can be turned into boats, rocking horses, a table, chairs, bunk beds and so on
